Proverbs 31:28 says, “Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her.” There is a profound impact that a mother has on the life of her children. That is the reason why mothers are so important in the lives of their children.
“The Hand That Rocks the Cradle Is the Hand That Rules the World,” is a poem by William Ross Wallace that praises motherhood as the preeminent force for change in the world. The powerful influence a mother has upon a child is incredible. Through the process of time a mother shapes a child’s life as they grow and mature into an adult.
There is another hand that has a profound effect on our lives, and sometimes that hand rocks our world. There is a force that has had a powerful influence on our lives; the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Through the process of life, the hand of God shapes us and helps us along as a child of His.
I’m thankful for a mother’s hand, but I’m more thankful for the powerful, life changing hand of God.
