Mask and Hand Sanitizer

Mask and Hand Sanitizer

Its without saying, this has been an unusual yea

It goes without saying this has been an unusual year.

As we step into September and begin the final month of summer, we find ourselves in an unprecedented time.
Usually the state fair is in full swing and parents are preparing their children for a new school year. Unfortunately things are a little bit different this year.
Fall sports are canceled and the words “hybrid learning” has been introduced to our schools and children. New phrases have been introduced to our society. All of this has brought about a concern to my spirit and a disturbance to our world.
I walk through a store and I hear a voice speaking instructions, over the intercom, on how to walk, cough, sneeze and wash my hands. I digress.
Things have changed. With all this change I am concerned and convinced that this is merely a distraction of epic proportions.
We must maintain a strong relationship with God almighty and not allow voices of distraction to get in our ears. We cannot allow voices of the world to speak into our life.  It is a spirit of deceit and distraction that has settled in around us.

The word of God is our instruction manual on how to live. The New Testament is filled with warnings of what is to come.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2. That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

So, in this unique and challenging time, let us remain focused on the task ahead of us. Let us not be distracted with everything that we are going through. We must block out the voices of distraction and deception so that we can hear what the voice of the Lord is speaking to you and I, the church.
